I got some news this morning from Carol, one of the assistants at my favourite bakery. (yes, you guessed it, my Pastie supplier)

Now, at this point I should explain that when I moved to this area 35 years ago there were four bakeries, offering various goodies to our largely farming community. Now there's only the one.
They are CLOSING SHOP on Saturday 10th January for TWELVE BLOODY WEEKS for a refit.

TWELVE WEEKS WITH NO PASTIE - there must be some specialised hospital unit for the withdrawal pain I'll be going through

Code blue CODE BLUE! Terry we need a drip feed and 400 ml of antipastie fluid, a flux capacitor with pastieoil and 4cc of hypipastie for withdrawal STAT!!!
Everyone remain calm and don't make any sudden moves, we have his all under control. We've rehearsed for this we know what we're doing.

I have for years, relied upon Green Giant Antioxidant (Frozen) Vegetables with a light sauce. They come in a plastic pouch that you toss in the microwave for 5 minutes. I put them in whatever I happen to be cooking. Suddenly, they were gone from their spot in the freezer case.
