Must watch viewing for me as a kid. Went for a ride in the same make and model car I believe once with a son of a friend of my father. Even managed to do the get into a car through the open window once though I can't remember what car it was. Even had a small diecast model of the car though I don't know where it is now.

Yessir! 1969. Much like another show of the time (Knight Rider), the "car was the star" of the show : )

Now that was a Pontiac Trans-am if I remember correctly!? I only know the names of US cars if they've been famous in a film or TV series!!!!

Theres 3 General Lee's in the local car club... not the same seeing 3 of them crusing down the road together..

also have the complete collection on DVD... just need to find a DVD player... god help those with VHS (my full collection of Only Fools is on VHS but no player) or Beta... lol
