This is the last one, and I have saved the inventor Seymour to be the final bit of fun, who usually got some other idiot to test his inventions, but what dangers did Seymour actually face
 
When he went off to teach again at the boy's school (that was when he left) he was warned not to punish the boys the way he was used to punishing them by striking them with a cane, etc. The danger was that he would forget and strike a child.

Oh yes, the time he "found oil" and actually he had drilled into an oil pipe. Well, it was Compo that was actually drilling but he did get sprayed with oil, didn't he?

It was a water main the drill hit, so no oil wealth for him I'm afraid, maybe a big bill from the water company for the damage, unless he got poor old Wesley to fix it
