I Have pasted below the details received so far regarding these unique summer wine first day covers, which also indicates prices,Terry
This autumn sees the final episodes of one of the most popular comedy series ever - one of the last true British classic comedy series and we are going to celebrate it and raise money for Bomber Command at the same time!
On the 17th September, we're producing two Last of the Summer Wine covers for the bird stamps issued that day. The special postmark will be at Holmfirth, Yorkshire where the show is filmed.
The reason for two different envelopes is the signatures. We can't show them to you today, as they haven't been officially approved by the director yet.
The first cover (BC416B) shows a picture of Frank Thornton (Truly) dancing with Peter Sallis (Norman Clegg) and the second cover (BC416C) is a photographic image of the current trio; Brian Murphy (Alvin Smedley), Russ Abbot (Hobbo Hobdyke) & Burt Kwouk (Entwistle).
