Wally

Another one.

Wally"I thought we were going to have a coffee"
Nora"You dont deserve a coffee"
Wally"Do i have to deserve everthing its going to be a long time between drinks if i have to deserve everthing"

Poor old Wally'I watched this episode the other day(seranade for tight jeans and metel detector).Wally had some other good lines in this episode. :)

I watch that one last night, brilliant ;D

Wally "Marriage is so unfair"
Nora "How d'you work that out?"
Wally "Well, you're only married to me but look at all I'm married to"

kEEPING BRITAIN TIDY

Wally"Ah human beings we don't get many human beings its usually just her lot"

Lovely sence this played brilliantly by all involved.

Forget the episode but he says somethings on the lines of "Thats what I miss ,the freedom to just do something stupid! " ;D

theres just too many very good Wally moments 2 choose from, all that have been mentioned have all made me smile at some time or the other, but im gonna put in a say for the times when Compo is messing Nora around and Wally comes out and she tells him to talk to him and he just goes "How do Compo" and he gets dragged away by nora

Today I spotted a sign on someone's house which reminded me a little of Wally it read

I live in mortal fear, but sometimes she lets me go fishing

If she was attacked right in front of my eyes I would have to stand there helpless, helpless - she would have the bloke mauled to death . . .

Hi, I'm new here

For a while one thing has been bugging me so I hope someone can help

Which episode does Nora say to Wally "Are you a man or a parrot?" Then Wally says "Who's a pretty boy then

That line in my opinion is one of Wally's best, so any help on the episode name would be very great full I can't believe I've forgot the name but theirs than many episode's It's hard to remember them all!

Regards

Yes it is that very episode

Just saw the line has to be one of Wally's best its who's a clever boy then I always thought it was pretty boy, still a classic line

I find it ever so slightly hilarious that, if one types "Wally Batty" into Google Image Search, the 8th result is a picture I took of my writing partner and my girlfriend looking at a cautionary school sign in Holmfirth. Strange the way search engines work their magic.

I can't remember the episode but after Wally delivers his line he slowly turned to look at the camera with a sideward glance. I like it when when we see
a character look right at the camera..

Clegg (nearly whispering): "Wally, we wanted to keep it a secret from Nora in case she invents 14 reasons for you not doing it."
Wally (frankly): "Well, it won't be a secret now. She be listening. She's always listening!"
Nora (crashing into the room with yard broom at the ready and yelling loudly): "That's a lie! A wicked lie!"
Serious man-handling ensues...
Nora (in signature curlers and wrinkled stockings again loudly with battleship face on): "NO!! He can't give you a lift up the hill..."

OMG, I laugh myself silly every time I watch that little skit (which actually starts with Foggy's, "Can Wally come out and play."

I'm with all those who love EVERY bit Joe Gladwin did in the series. Absolutely brilliant! And Kathy Staff played off him so well. By far and away my favorite duet in any series anywhere.

7th now - had to check as almost in the 'I do not believe it' category. Reminds me when a very prim and proper lady the other day told me she was quite put out when she looked at YouTube for some religious item and then clicked on the next one and got - porn! I explained that nothing sinister just the way the search engines and linkages work - or do not!

"A bloke tries to sneak out for a few minutes and some clown starts reminding him of home."
I'll give Wally credit though, he did care for Nora, like in "A Merry Heatwave" he put his arm around her shoulder to comfort her. And then Cleggy's great line, "I bet he hasn't touched her like that in years, except in self defence". haha!!
