I have noticed that it hasn't been updated since December the 4th

Has it been shut down I wonder.
amos it went like this earlier this year for a couple of weeks, then came back, maybe they have a data volume limit each month, and it stops until their allowance starts again

I dropped a quick mail to their email service and just had a reply from Simon Flatley he thanked me for letting me know and in his words "we are on it" so hopefully it will be active imminently . From his response they were clearly unaware it was not operational
You'd think that the cams would be monitored.

They may well be, the mail I received from Simon offered no timescales . As they don't monitor the cameras , then the scale of the problem would not be known to them until they physically investigate, so I think we will simply have to remain patient . Contractually no one has any right to expect the service to be available much like Earthcam there is no recourse if the service is unavailable . Perhaps you could amuse yourself checking who is getting married in the Elvis Chapel in Vegas for a little while until they are fixed.
