There are several purchase sources listed on Google Books http://books.google.co.uk/books/about/Last_of_the_Summer_Wine_Scripts.html?id=ZQ45AAAACAAJ and some different ones on https://openlibrary.org/books/OL4592715M/Last_of_the_summer_wine_scripts. The Ebay prices for the book are often way too high compared to the other sources.

I have just checked the link and £18 for a book originally costing 60p 38 years ago seems quite pricey.

However useful for seeing the variation between script and final screened version, as others have stated.

Given that that there are no subtitles on series 2 DVD, I would dearly love to have the scripts for that set but as far as I am aware they were never published.
 
The other site gives prices from £16.37 through to £25.63 or in USA about $30 - $31.

I note that ebay has under classification: unclassifiable.
 
Mysterious phrase in Pâté and Chips

At about 13 minutes, 24 seconds, Compo has the line, 'I thought, 'ay up, Compo, tha's going to be here all night, 'less [4 indistinct syllables] so I snatched her whistle.' The script gives the line as, 'Hello, I thought, Compo, tha's going to be here all night unless tha can upset her. Try snatchin' her whistle.'

Does anyone understand those indistinct syllables?
