I was watching during my recovery. I decided to dig out a box set from the early 90's, in the show appeared a young Wally Batty, a Minder and a James Bond

I was thinking the same as Pearl, there's no way it could have been Joe Gladwin as I'm not sure he was even alive then! So I'm guessing it was the guy who played him in FOTSW. I'm clueless but I'm 100% behind whatever Roger says it is !

I took it that the boxset was released in the 90s, not when the series was actually made - but looking at other comments I could be totally wrong.

Well done Roger, it was indeed Heartbeat with the young Wally Batty from FOSW played by Gary Whitaker, the show also starred other LOSW cast during its run, along with some famous actors popping in for the odd scene, one being Daniel Craig who some years later played James Bond
