Where to stay in Holmfirth?

We're thinking of staying a couple of nights in Holmfirth next July for my 60th. Any recommendations on where to stay? We're looking for a hotel with a restaurant and bar either in the town itself or a short drive to it. Also, besides some of the filming locations what places are worth seeing? One thing I definitely want to do is Daisy Lane bookshop and spend some money there!
 
I'm staying at Coddys Farm as we speak and the weather here is pretty grim so I'd certainly encourage a July visit!!!!

I've stayed in loads of different places, but I'd say The Bridge is by far the most convenient, it has plenty of free parking, is slap bang in the centre of town and is pretty good value for money. It has a lovely restaurant, but I'd still encourage you to visit the many other restaurants in walking distance in the town. As it's next to the Picturedome which has lots of events on it gets booked up very quickly so advance booking is a must.

If you do decide to stay on the outskirts, Ubers are really cheap and abundant here, don't think I've paid more than £8 to get into town wherever else I've stayed.

If you want a full blown Hotel, then the Bridge in the centre of town is ideal, other than that the Huntsman which is under 3 miles out of the centre with better parking, then you can either drive into town or a Uber/ Taxi

I've stayed at The Old Bridge and enjoyed it very much. The food was good. Can't speak for the bar, since all I've had from it was a cuppa.

Also stayed at The Rooms at the Nook. No restaurant, just breakfast, rooms were very nice.
