Windows 10

My pc updated to windows 10 by itself this morning. Has anyone else had this happen to them
 
Hi Amos, I have read recently that this is happening to user, Microsoft really want to push user into using 10, and although it is a free upgrade I do wonder how long it will be before they starting charging a annual fee to use it

There have been recent articles in the press that Microsoft would download the upgrade to Windows 10 if you have the automatic updates set in respect of software updates and fixes . The Windows 10 upgrade was set as optional if their controlling software they changed that status to recommended hence if you have the Windows updates value set to automatic it will upgrade the OS with the Windows 10 software . Well I have had it most of the day. It seems ok at the moment.
 
It seems the forced windows 10 update was initiated by a windows update in the current windows 7 or 8 batch of updates
 
Still holding on with XP Pro 3 on a number of machines. Not sure what's
gonna move me up. So far everything I run runs just fine on XP.
Just waiting for the BANG.
 
Several years ago I switched from XP to Windows 7 in order to run Lightroom for better processing of RAW camera files. Windows 8 was never ready for prime time, so I ignored it. For now, I've disabled Microsoft's automatic updates because I need to retain access to my Microsoft Money data until I'm certain that it all migrated correctly to Quicken. Money doesn't run under Windows 10 because Microsoft stopped supporting it years ago. Then I will upgrade to the current version of Outlook and Office, as well as to Windows 10. After that, I'm sure I'll find that I have other software that needs to be upgraded to run under 10.
 
Am I the only person here who is not affected - run two Apple Macs although still have a PC or two in the house with XP but neither connected to internet at present. Actually for one person that souds like am excessive amount of computing!
