Got a customers machine in yesterday to do a rebuild and clean install of Windows 7.
Everything went swimmingly until half way through the (237) updates.
Damn machine kept telling me it was short on memory and couldn't continue (told me to close un-needed programmes)
Jeez, the machine has 16 Gigabytes of RAM, about 4 Terrabytes of hard drive, and a swap file the size of the Isle of Wight! The only programme running was windows updater.
Tempted to do it the old fashioned way..... I have a very handy 15lb lump hammer
