Ah yes I've established where it is now! I've never parked on that car park before as I'm usually on the Bridge Hotel carpark just behind. I think I spotted a Herald thereApart from the vw beetle, all are of British manufacture. It's the opposite today.
These days they would have the wheels off to stop it rollingAbout 10 years ago we parked our campervan in there and went for a mooch around the town. I was in the building that now houses the little supermarket and was looking down across the town and realised that it was in the middle of the car park blocking the access.
I ran down to find that it had bricks under the front wheels and a note under the wipers stating that “ your van was rolling away so we put bricks under the wheels to stop it”![]()
That's how I first read the post, I assumed a few neerdowells had run off with his wheels!These days they would have the wheels off to stop it rolling
