Have used this car park over the years, this was 1964 long before they started filming our beloved show, probably free to park back then.
If you still had some of the cars parked there you could be looking to retiring early with what they can fetch as classics these days.

It's the bus "station" on Town Gate, across the road from "Sid's". The building is the post office.

Ah yes I've established where it is now! I've never parked on that car park before as I'm usually on the Bridge Hotel carpark just behind. Looking at the elevation and angle of that photo I wonder if it's been taken from the upstairs balcony of the Picturedome?

I think I spotted a Herald there

About 10 years ago we parked our campervan in there and went for a mooch around the town. I was in the building that now houses the little supermarket and was looking down across the town and realised that it was in the middle of the car park blocking the access.
I ran down to find that it had bricks under the front wheels and a note under the wipers stating that “ your van was rolling away so we put bricks under the wheels to stop it”

That's how I first read the post, I assumed a few neerdowells had run off with his wheels!
