Bucket List

Someone on another thread mentioned Bucket List, I was wondering if anyone had one and what was on it?

Mine is: ( Amongst other things)
Bungee jump
Sky dive
Sleep outside
Watch the sun come up at the beach
Go to Lands End ( Have been to John O'Groats)
Stroke a penguin

I guess mine would be.....

-Visit and tour Holmfirth and all of filming areas.
-Be in the live audience and try my hand at the "reasonably priced car track" on Top Gear.
-Visit and tour most of UK as well as Western Europe (WWII sites mainly)
-Drive Nascar race car
-Help children more than I do now, whether it is feeding them, providing a foster home, or maybe paying for a prosthesis. Something to change a bad situation into good.
-Meet some of you nice folks.
-Own an antique farm tractor
-(not sure if this counts) Live long enough to see my kids start their families

I'm sure there would be more things, but can't think of them now.

Meet Peter Sallis
Swim with a Dolphin
Appear in a west end play (just a little part)
Stop this awful war in Syria
Meet some of you lovely Male and Female Persons.

Am sure there are loads more when I have a think !!

Norm, I've been wanting to ask you, did you feel the earth quakes last week?

Not this time no, my next door neighbour did in fact if he hadn't asked me I would have been non the wiser. I live near Oakham which I believe is the epicentre or what ever they call it, I must have been out for the count !!

I live a couple of miles away and never felt a thing and I was wide awake :D

Oh, Wesley, I LOVE your list, especially helping children and TOP GEAR. I love Top Gear.

great topic

bucket list. Didn't think I was old enough to make one, but heck I am middle aged!! OMG:30:, I should get started then.

1. Trip to Yorkshire, and Germany(heritage) father side.
2. Complete our plan to be self sufficient on our small 6 acre farm.
3. See peace in a close dysfunctional family.
4. Learn to scuba dive.
5. Quit the e-cigarette.
6. Hike the Appalachian Trail

I used to do food drops for the AT, friends of mine, ohhh 20+ years ago tried the entire trail. Failed both tries(1st try injury to ankle and 2nd try sickness of the scout dog) but it was a cool sending the supplies to the drop points.
Like 2 and 3 as well!!!
So want to get back to farm life!!!

Go back to Santa Ponsa
Take a WRC car and rag it through a few rally stages.
Learn a new language.
Make Ireland an alcohol free zone.
Visit Le Mans for the 24 hour race.
Visit Holmfirth of course.
Take my nephew up on his offer and get the tour of The Royal Opera House where he works.
Lastly I would love to see a time where no kid would ever start smoking.

Ok, I will try again.

1. I want to learn to water ski. Tried in my younger years and always went under. (blub blub blub)
2. I want to return to Hawaii and learn to Scuba Dive. Went snorkeling and loved it.
3. Travel to England/Ireland and Italy/Spain. Mostly to meet you all in person and to do research of my ancestry. ( I never can find time to work on that)
4. Take a road trip here for two weeks and meet those LOTSW fans here.
5. Love to visit New York City during December and see the shows and sights.
6. Find a job that I enjoy and gives me purpose.
7. Never learned to dance. Would love to learn.
8. Take an art class and finish getting an associates degree probably in Business Adm.

This is an old thread but updating because I watched Sean Lock stand up show which sadly was way too crude in parts but he made an excellent analogy regarding Bucket Lists . He says these guys who get to a certain age, say over 60 , and on their bucket list is " I must buy myself a motorbike specifically a Harley and drive the highways , don't be so stupid . You shouldn't be dressed in leathers astride a bike you should be dressed head to foot in beige and on a tour bus heading to a Stately Home where you and the other similarly dressed companions should be snaking through the gardens like a pastel coloured serpent of balding heads dreaming of a scone and a cup of tea in the home's cafe.":)
