In many different episodes it was referenced how all the main characters knew each other and their antics in their school days. Yet there were distances in their real life ages. The acting was so well done though that it was easily believable.
I remember one instance in which Compo was joking about Wally being called "little laughing Walter Batty". Yet Joe Gladwin was much older than them, being born in 1906. So hard to believe he would be 107 were he still alive today.
