Has anyone else noticed

That when Compo always makes a grab for Nora with a kiss or a cuddle it's always someone else who gets him off and not Nora getting him off, I notice Ivy does numerous times and i'm sure Seymour and Foggy did at least once, is that cause Nora deep down liked his advances or is it that she was told not to push him away in real life in case she pushed him over (purely by mistake of course)
 
I hadn't thought of it that way Darren but I had noticed that most of her attempts at hitting him at the time were done with the inside of her fore arm. Nothing heavy just the fleshy part of her arms. I'm supposing she could have given him a real whack, if she wanted to. ;) ;D
 
I suspect its a bit of both.

If Kathy hit Bill that many times in real life he'd have been black and blue constantly.

I also think that Nora quite enjoyed the attention from Compo. Every woman likes to feel wanted even old battle axes like Nora ;D

I remember an episode where the women were drinking their tea and Ivy made a comment that she too had to fight off Compo that morning. Nora was surprised and said something like "Does he bother you too!" She looked a bit jealous. ;)
 
She looked spitting mad jealous when Reggie Unsworth walked into the church for Compo's funeral :o
 
Compo seemed to be like this around a few women, not just Nora. He quite liked a grope of Ivy and the occasional nestling in Marina's bosom, much to Howard's displeasure.

In a time of Operation Yewtree, I doubt it would be part of Compo's character today.
 
I think Nora was very fond of Compo especially after Wally died. Even though he constantly annoyed her, she was always there for him when he either pretended or really did come a cropper !!

'Cept for when he was watching her from the deckchair and fell back down the steps, she ran to see what had happened and it quite tickled her when he sat looking at her through the broken sunglasses! ;D ;D ::)
 
If she wanted to she would have whacked him. Most of the time she was flailing her arms it seemed. Enjoyed it when she was holding his ferrets!!! what a smile she had on her face. I mentioned to my husband that Comp really loved Nora why don't they put them together, then he said, "No that would put the end of the chase" I agreed. Flirt and loved to be Flirted! ;) ;) :D
 
Agree if Nora and Compo got together it would have ruined the story and we not have had Reggie Unsworth.

Pure genius! :D :D Even though we would have all loved to have known about her,it left a lot to our imagination, and proof that he loved the chase of Nora over moving in with Reggie!!
