It was green and white. I think it was the same jacket he wore when they all went to Scarbrough in The Boarding House Bathroom Caper and Cheering Up Gordon. Compo did have a yellow and black one once, but I think it was a later 1990s Foggy era episode. I remember him throwing his shoes into the river across from Nora Batty's house.

Going to Gordon's wedding was on today noticed and found a couple of things I didn't realise before billed as "Man" John Rutland also appeared as the infamous Chuffer Wainwright no duck impressions or climbing lampposts today though. Margaret Burton who played Gordon's mum would have known the ceremony backwards, in real life she was married three times . Her first husband was David Nixon do you think the magic went out of their marriage :fp:;)
