Chuck......what was your impression of Nora's Cottage compared to other places you have stayed in the area? Would you stay again?
Liked Nora's cottage for location and living space.
But the parking was almost non-existent, and in H'firth
that's a REAL problem!! We stumbled into one space and left
the car there for the week and walked everywhere instead.
Up the stairs over Compo's door, there is a small entry
way and the eat-in kitchen complete with freezer, frig, and
electric stove.
Up one flight is the bathroom and lounge (modern TV) but
only cheesy electric fire.
Up one more flight to the 2 bedrooms, again with
electric fires.
But you can walk from there to anywhere, including Jackson
Bridge (White Horse) and Holme (The Fleece).
Except for parking probs we would stay there again. Easy walking
to The Nook (really great pub) and The Old Bridge (which used
to be way nicer in years past).
When I get the pix from the digital camera I might try to
post a few of the cottage.
