There are a pair of Swallows nesting in the shed in my paddock that the horses use for shelter.
I love all birds, but this pair are really wonderful, and quite friendly. The good lady of the pair will quite happily lands on my window ledge, less than a foot from my hand, and sit there staring up at me as if daring me to try and catch her
The two piccies I attach show her in the bird bath, cooling down! I see many, many birds using the bird bath to either get a drink or to perform their ablutions, but never have I seen a bird just basking there, sometimes for as much as 15 minutes.
She has my heart.
