And that post Captain, just made it all worthwhile.Pete,
You have surpassed yourself this time what an absolutely brilliant collection of photographs . I love old photographs and the ones of early Holmfirth would be outstanding on their own but when you team them with those you took today it offers a great pictorial history of where it all started with of beloved show . I think like you most fans , including myself, would find it hard to hold back the tears when stood in front of the sadly departed stars of our favourite show . Thank you so , so much for taking the time to walk around in such inclement weather to bring us the pictures .
Thanks so much Dick ☺More wonderful photos Pete. (then and now)![]()
I know ferret,I thought that, the traffic was non stop, had to wait ages till there was a gap when the cars weren't obscuring the buildings, and it was raining !!Excellent then and now photo's...can't imagine you'd last more than 30 seconds standing in the middle of Victoria St these days!!!

Thanks so much Brian,I didn't use all my early 1900's photos,I have more,I'll use them on my next visit, thanks again.Absolutely fantastic Pete!![]()
