It was in Das Welly Boot when he opened it backwards. Most of the open part is covered by Compo's finger but if you pause at the right moment and zoom in you see that it is empty.

That's not one of the episodes I have highest quality of and for some reason the gif software made it an insane size file while reducing quality even more. You can see it better from the video I sourced if you watch for the shadows to move across the inside of the box as he slightly moves it.
