Favorite Compo Skit

My absolute favorite has to be the scene in Frozen Turkey Man, in which Compo firmly grasps Foggy's head and plants a huge, long kiss on his forehead. Followed with Foggy's "has it started to swell yet" comment. I don't care how many times I see that, I laugh till I have tears. Sometimes I rewind that part and watch it again. Too funny!!
 
I think one of my favorite Compo moments is in Ordeal by Trousers. At the end when they are on stage doing their skit. It really shows Bill's talents (singing) with the acting like Compo all wrapped into one.
However there are so many great Compo moments it is hard to pick just one.

Yes, Wesley, there are so many that everyone has mentioned. The funny side of Christmas. Even though it was a short 6 minutes, I loved that one, not being taken in by the commercialism of it all. I knew they couldn't hold out. How he was dressed was hilarious! I liked 40 ft. ferret , I believe where he was checking out the church, the gold eagle, and jumping over the grave of the priest!! Picking his nose!!, making his sighing noises!! New ones. Ah, here is one. Hail smiling morn,or thereabouts. When they were in a bar the next morning after sleeping in the tent. He was talking about his "person", "to wash it (mouthing) thoroughly"! He couldn't go outside to check,so he marked "NO"
 
In getting Sam home :- There is a lovely moment In " lilly Bless er's" house when the three go to see her before they visit Sam in hospital. Compo is watching her while he is trying to drink his beer, Compos face and actions are hillarious.
 
I liked him especially in Greenfinger when he was on top of the carrot and how he reacted when he realized his wellie was stuck on the carrot after he came down.
 
I liked the opening scene on the hillside when Compo says "Charlie Pablo has a bit tucked away in a eunuch's truss". Brian and Peter can easily be seen as finding this truly amusing. The professional that Bill Owen was....not even a smirk!

See, now, I have the dvd's and you don't see or wear Compo singing. I caught it on YouTube though and I agree with you.

I always felt that Foggy was not suppose to get hit by the carrot because of Bill's reaction. The only time I see Bill get so tickeled. Love it! ;D

I just started from the pilot last week, all on Youtube, and another thing I enjoy is hearing Compo saying "If you give me a fag I'll let you......." I just love that. Makes me chuckle every time.

No real difference, except an industrial accident like that was much less likely in the south west. Cheltenham Technical High School actually. It was 1970 so just down to bad luck, these days I would have got compo!
 
The episode where he was dressed like a jockey and performing a skit with trained ferrets in a local church. I don't recall the episode's title at the moment. I also liked the bit in The Waist Land where they dressed in disguise to evade capture for selling Sid and Ivy's food at the fitness camp.

Yes, the carrot seemed to have a mind of its own. Some of the action was unplanned and then left in.
 
One of my favourite Compo skits is when he is passing time on and kicking a can around, he picks up the tin and throws it over the hedge. This is answered by an "ow!" so Compo does no more than walk away in the opposite direction as though it's nothing to do with him !! :22::eyesroll:
 
I liked Compo in Tarzan of the Towpath. On the bicycle spinning and going no where and then when he went flying off the bridge into the water after the boat he was towing went under the bridge. :):)

And then there was the faces he made looking out of the window of the homemade submarine (forget which episode this was in).
