Thank you Leigh for producing a fascinating insight into these "forgotten turkeys" I definitely recall vaguely the two John Inman shows and everything you stated rings true . You do wonder why, when still basking in the glory of AYBS, John Inman requested a comedy series to be written for him, especially as AYBS was still being shown. It just doesn't make sense, was it a fear of being typecast but that doesn't stack up with Odd Man out or was he simply chasing money. I , gladly from what you said, had neither heard or seen the other two series.

Thanks @captain clutterbuck ... It might have been to avoid typecasting, but I suppose he didn't have any input on the script - and Vince Powell does seem to have written some less than successful shows. Trouble is, now you know about the other shows, they might become a video earworm!
