"Babe" by Styx. Not a group of which I'm especially fond, but I can't deny the song is a classic, and one that carries an inescapable nostalgia for me from that time (1979).


Another of the group's songs, "The Best of Times" has a similar power of nostalgia.
 
Not really a song per se, but an excellent analysis of what make the music posted on this thread so much more memorable to us that grew up with it.

 
Ringo Starr- "Photograph"


Ever have a song become acutely relevant after having heard it for many years without it ever having applied to you? This is one of those songs for me.
 

"The Changing of the Guard"- The Marquis of Kensington

Love the song as well as the West German youth culture show.
