Dodgy Fish & Chips Anyone

Is it just me but are the perfect fish & chips not fried in beef dripping and use either Cod or Haddock, as opposed to nondescript white fish masquerading as the Cod or Haddock?
 
Salt and malt vinegar. Mushy peas hate me with a passion, causing symptoms as though I'd had a dose of arsenic. Like many Americans, I find curry sauce much too hot. Can't imagine gravy on either the fish or the chips.
Love it! The curry sauce you get in chippys is nearly always really mild almost sweet tasting so you'd maybe be okay on that. When I've been in the US and I've asked for vinegar for my chips, sorry fries! I'm usually presented with balsamic or white wine vinegar which doesn't work o_O
