Yes I did Dick, great programme. Alan Titchmarsh was a very good and very entertaining presenter. Tommy Walsh also was a very likable and funny member of the team and Charlie "Horticultural Viagra" Dimmock with her tumbling pre-Raphaelite curls had her endearing qualities too of course. ;D;D;D

"DAY OF THE TRIFFIDS " was a book and a film about man eating plants that came to earth on meteorites Beth. I think the book was written by John Wyndham in the 1960's. I read a fair amount of sci-fi at that time so I could be mixing the author up.

It was an interview with Charlie on her47th birthday. it opened with the almost exact words that you used when you described her. ;D ;D

Seen a picture of her in some wellies with her "endearing qualities". I know where Johns mind was.

Love the pictures of the garden John. I will have to get some pic online of my garden. I would love to have a green house. It is next in line. I will never get to Yorkshire :(

Charlie Dimmock was a godsend to us women whose men had an allergic reaction to lawn mowers. It was a turning point in mens health, they all went out got a good dose vitamin D.
